Personal Supports
Personal Supports is a flexible, individualized service for adults with developmental disabilities who live in their own home or a family home. It combines elements of respite care, in‑home support and personal care assistance. The service provides help with activities of daily living—such as eating, bathing, dressing and personal hygiene—and meal preparation. When specified in a person’s support plan, it can include housekeeping chores. Personal Supports also offers non‑medical care, socialization and access to therapeutic, community‑based activities.
Life Skills Development – Level 1 (Companion)
Life Skills Development Level 1—also known as Companion services— consists of non‑medical care, supervision and socialization for adults aged 21 and older. The service must align with goals outlined in a recipient’s support plan. It provides access to community‑based activities that cannot be provided by natural supports and is intended to increase the individual’s ability to access community resources without paid support.
Notary Public Services
We also offer Florida notary services to assist with official documentation. The Florida Department of State’s Division of Corporations maintains the state’s notary program; applicants must obtain a notary application packet from an approved processor that electronically submits information to the Notary Commissions and Certifications Section. Visit the state notary page for complete details.
